A hands-on and ears-open financial professional, John devotes his energy to helping clients identify and prioritize their professional and personal objectives. In addition to clients’ goals, he looks for holes in their financial pictures – areas that may have been neglected in a previous advisory relationship.

Before arriving at Krilogy in 2021, John spent three years at Moneta Group in St. Louis. He worked as an Alternative Investment Associate managing the operational side of private investments for the firm before transitioning to a Client Service Manager. In that role, he worked closely with clients and colleagues – helping a team of twenty manage more than $2.7 billion in assets.

John finds that his rigorous industry training allows him to bring clients an extra measure of financial knowledge and work more strategically on their behalf. With the importance he places on a disciplined planning-based approach, he earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

In each client relationship, John focuses on providing what he calls sensitive and sensible financial advice and guidance – the kind that brings clients confidence, in addition to tangible results. Recognizing that successful people have “plenty on their plates,” John aims to streamline clients’ financial obligations – listening, learning, and appreciating what’s on clients’ minds and in their hearts. The son of attorneys, John also understands the value of intergenerational wealth and estate planning strategies.

John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business at Elon University where he played rugby. As Co-Captain, he earned 1st team All-Conference honors in the Southern Conference recognizing the top ten players in the league. Today, John enjoys no-contact sports and activities – including golf, tennis and reading.
