Krilogy team at the Alzheimer Walk 2015
For the second year in a row, Krilogy Senior Financial Advisor Patrick Monahan played a leading role in the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, an annual event to raise money for research and support of families living with the disease.

In 2014, Patrick was instrumental in forging a relationship with former Blues player T.J. Oshie and his father, Tim to support the walk. This helped form a partnership and gain support of the Blues organization, which continued into 2015. The alliance has proven successful over the last two years, attracting thousands of walkers to Scottrade Center who participate and raise funds for Alzheimer’s Disease. Alzheimer Walk 2015
The 2015 walk, which took place on September 12, attracted more than 4,000 walkers and, to date, has raised over $770,000 – a 15% increase over last year’s total fundraising. Patrick and his team, A World without Alzheimer’s, brought in nearly $12,000 and ranked near the top in team fundraising.

Patrick lost his grandfather to Alzheimer’s Disease ten years ago, a loss that prompted his involvement in the organization and his leadership in this particular event over the last few years. More than five million Americans live with the disease, which is the 6th leading cause of death in this country.

“Through the partnership with the Blues, I knew that the pieces were in place to enable me to make a bigger impact than I could on my own, and do something to hopefully advance our knowledge of this disease in hopes of finding a cure. ”
