Chief of Staff
Job Summary:
Krilogy is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to support the CEO as Chief of Staff and act as communications manager to create, implement and oversee communications programs, be it internal or external, that effectively describe and promote the organization. As a strategist, consultant and implementer, the successful candidate will ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities and strategic initiatives of the CEO. The Chief of Staff will handle day-to-day management of meetings, schedules and presentations to allow the CEO to focus on growing the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be a partner to the CEO and help leverage the CEOs time by performing various duties based on the shifting and growing needs of the CEO and the Firm
  • Perform diverse, advanced support duties, including: coordinating strategic business projects and guiding them to completion; manage emails and active calendar of appointments; draft correspondence; coordinate travel arrangements; meeting/event planning and preparation; manage CEO’s time and expense reports; interact with all levels of the organization as well as internal and external clients; and manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Help CEO work with marketing and PR Firm on print and online advertising, email marketing, web site management and content development, press releases, bylined articles, white papers, corporate videos and marketing collateral, RFP review and development, marketing budget development and cost tracking
  • Support and provide strategic advice to the CEO, and represent the CEO as an official of the organization. Maximize the CEO’s effectiveness by leveraging his time in a way that ensures maximum focus on highest priority Firm issues and initiatives
  • Act as an ambassador, ensuring the CEO is informed of upcoming events, commitments and responsibilities with appropriate and timely follow-up
  • Manage time-sensitive deadlines related to key business initiatives, as directed by the CEO and Leadership Team
  • Support planning and preparation for management meetings, executive team meetings and board meetings; create supporting meeting materials, including: Excel analyses, PowerPoint presentations, reports, proposals, meeting agenda or speaking notes
  • Attend various team meetings and document meeting minutes as needed
  • Provide support to the organization’s Leadership and Advisory Board and help manage communications, arrange meetings and events
  • Facilitate cross-collaboration with all Department Directors and organizational teams
  • Support all Senior Leaders in managing their priorities, teams and responsibilities
  • Support and complete ad-hoc initiatives, duties and projects as and when requested

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Preferred 3+ years’ experience providing advanced support to senior level executives in a corporate environment
  • Professional competency in spoken and written English
  • Full proficiency with MS Office Tools (i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong execution-bias in order to make progress and push forward Krilogy’s strategic initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving ability in order to identify and solve issues or potential roadblocks when they arise, proposing options or a solution to the CEO or senior leadership
  • Ability to adjust to multiple tasks and demands and constantly shifting priorities under tight deadlines and time constraints
  • Ability to own and run projects by identifying and driving the critical path actions for each project
  • Ability to sensitively represent the CEO/Leadership function to senior stakeholders and to attend ad-hoc meetings in the delegated capacity of the CEO when requested
  • Data analysis skills, in order to use data and facts to prepare and develop materials and to support recommendations that are grounded in facts
  • Excellent organization and project/time management skills; ability to implement programs, manage details, and work independently; ability to develop, revise, and implement procedures and systems; ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities accordingly; and superior follow-up
  • Experience in working strategically and collaboratively with all levels of the Firm with tact and diplomacy, often on sensitive, personnel-related topics
  • Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, able to make quick decisions and good judgment, often in the absence of senior leadership direction

Paraplanner (Creve Coeur Location)
Job Summary:
The Paraplanner will directly support a Senior Financial Advisor in serving existing and prospective clients. This team member will perform various tasks, including portfolio reviews and preparing financial projections using financial planning software. You must have the ability to use critical-thinking skills, work within a team and anticipate and act on Senior Advisor needs and client questions. Qualified candidates are detail-oriented, structured and have a high degree of follow-through.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtain client financial and /or suitability information
  • Conduct substantive research or information gathering that will be used with making securities product recommendations or providing investment advice (e.g. conducting due diligence, etc.)
  • Verbal and/or written communications with prospective or existing clients regarding financial matters
  • Handle large volume of email with specific adherence to Senior Advisor’s process
  • Assist in the preparation and follow up for client meetings including preparation of proposals, applications and transfer paperwork
  • Update Client Relationship Manager (CRM) and Client notes
  • Prepare and coordinate the preparation of correspondence, reports, 401(k) paperwork, account paperwork and special projects
  • Research and respond to inquiries regarding client accounts
  • Input information into financial planning software and run scenarios
  • Research information and perform detailed document reviews
  • Monitor clients’ financial situation with detail and accuracy
  • Attend client meetings with Senior Financial Advisor
  • Ability to travel with Senior Advisor 3-5 times per year for up to 3 nights and 4 days for client meetings and presentations; travel may require driving 4 to 5 hours to location
  • Occasional heavy lifting of files and materials up to 20 pounds
  • Additional duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree – Finance preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation preferred
  • Three to five years’ financial planning industry experience preferred
  • 401(k) knowledge a plus
  • Insurance Product knowledge a plus
  • Solid understanding of investment products, types of accounts and financial planning process
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office software; experience with financial planning software a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, as well as organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to take and follow instruction from Senior Advisor

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, statistics or economics, or one to three years of relevant work experience
