Tom Ponce joined Krilogy in 2026 as a Senior Wealth Advisor, bringing 13 years of experience in financial services and wealth management. Throughout his career, Tom has focused on tax and investment strategy, insurance planning (including life insurance, long-term care, and annuities), and Social Security, income, and Medicare planning.
Tom’s path into this industry started in a personal place. As he was finishing college, his father, who ran a plumbing and electrical business with Tom’s mother in their hometown of Edwardsville, Illinois, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer and passed away several months later, putting sudden emotional and financial strain on the family. That experience shaped the career Tom has built since: helping clients put a plan in place they can count on, so they can move through retirement with confidence. He especially enjoys working with clients nearing or already in retirement, and above all wants every client to feel that the relationship goes beyond business, into something closer to a friendship.
Tom is a Certified Financial Fiduciary® (CF2®) and a National Social Security Advisor® (NSSA®). He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Marketing from Eastern Illinois University in 2013, where he competed on a Division I golf scholarship.
Tom has been recognized for his dedication to client service and his work in the financial services industry. He was named a Five Star Wealth Manager in both 2025 and 2026. For the 2025 award, 2,997 St. Louis-area wealth managers were considered and 176, approximately 6% of the candidates, were named Five Star Wealth Managers. In 2025, Tom was also selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who®, recognizing his professional background and accomplishments in financial services and insurance.
Outside the office, Tom lives in Creve Coeur, Missouri, with his wife, Cate, their two sons, Maverick and Crosby, and their yellow lab, Lute. He and Cate enjoy spending time with family and friends, going out to dinner, and catching up on their favorite shows. An avid golfer, Tom organizes an annual golf trip he started more than a decade ago with a group of 28 friends, with a goal of playing golf destinations in all 50 states. Cancer research is a cause close to Tom’s heart. Together with a friend, he has spent the last 11 years running an annual golf tournament that raises money for a cancer foundation, held in memory of his father and in honor of his friend, who battled and beat cancer at a young age.
