DESIGNING RETIREMENT

The five years before and five years after retirement have been called “the Fragile Decade.” Statistics reveal that hasty or uninformed decision-making during this period will have lifelong, often unexpected, effects.

In contrast, Jean believes that these years represent a one-time opportunity of immense proportions. Having a tailored plan well before leaving the workforce, organizing assets ahead of the transition and embedding lifetime flexibility transforms this time from fragile to dynamic. It is an important focus in her practice.

Jean and her husband, Joe, have a blended family of five children who live, work and study across the U.S. Jean joined Krilogy in 2017. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association, Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation and National Forest Homeowners Association. Jean is a U.S. Lacrosse certified youth and Double-Goal coach and a Master Gardener. Jean’s favorite activities include tennis, family gatherings and exploring the great outdoors.
