Alan F. Skrainka was formerly the Chief Investment Officer at Cornerstone Wealth Management where he managed a fee-based advisory platform. Prior to that, he was the Chief Market Strategist at Edward Jones where he sat on the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and helped launch Advisory Solutions, which today has over $500 billion AUM. Because of his 37 years of experience in the investment industry, Alan has been a frequent commentator on national financial networks, publications and industry conferences. In addition to his work at Cornerstone and Edward Jones, Mr. Skrainka has taught classes in retirement planning at the University of Missouri. He has also authored the book, Principle Based Investing. Mr. Skrainka became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1986. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-St Louis in 1983, and earned an M.B.A from Washington University in St. Louis in 1990.
Alan and his wife, Julie, have been married for 33 years and have three children, Drew, Allison and Jack. Alan enjoys traveling, golf and time with his family.
