Job Summary:
The Financial Planner will directly support a Senior Wealth Advisor in serving existing and potential clients. This team member will perform various tasks, including portfolio reviews and preparing financial projections using financial planning software. You must have the ability to use critical-thinking skills, work within a team, and anticipate firm needs and client questions. Qualified candidates are detail-oriented, and structured and have a high degree of follow-through.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Obtain client financial and /or suitability information
- Conduct substantive research or information gathering that will be used in making securities product recommendations or providing investment advice (e.g., conducting due diligence, etc.)
- Verbal and/or written communications with prospective or existing clients regarding financial matters
- Assist in the preparation and follow-up of client meetings
- Utilize the Client Relationship Manager (CRM) system to track ongoing tasks for clients
- Prepare or coordinate the preparation of routing correspondence, reports, and special projects of a routine nature
- Research inquiries regarding client accounts
- Input information into financial planning software
- Perform detailed document reviews; analyze client information and situation across the financial planning spectrum to develop a plan
- Research information as necessary on a case-by-case basis
- Continuously monitor clients’ financial situations with detail and accuracy, with the ability to look at their overall financial picture
- Attend client meetings with the Senior Wealth Advisor
- Additional duties as assigned
- Work and train with the current CFP® in the position today who is moving on to a new position in the company ensuring a seamless and low-stress transition
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree – Finance or Accounting degree preferred
- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation preferred
- One to three years of financial planning industry experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MoneyGuidePro
- Solid understanding of investment products, types of accounts, and financial planning process
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, as well as organizational and time management skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Exceptional phone and client service skills, positive and upbeat attitude
- Ability to maintain the integrity of sensitive/confidential information and systems
- Team player, collaborative, able to work with all levels of the firm
- Interest in working closely with fellow CFP® professionals, Estate Attorneys, and CPAs
- Interest in being a member of the Krilogy Wealth Intelligence Committee where CFP® professionals meet together to discuss financial planning topics and help each other find solutions
