“Brett continues to pursue excellence in his career, committing the time and energy required to achieve high-level certifications that enable him to provide a sophisticated level of planning and wealth management,” said Kent Skornia, President and CEO of Krilogy. “He is a shining example of the amazing people who make up the Krilogy team, and who are focused on accomplishing outstanding things for clients.”
Professionals pursuing the CLU® designation complete a rigorous curriculum which includes eight college-level courses, each with their own examination. The coursework covers the various fundamentals of life insurance including insurance planning, individual life insurance, life insurance law, estate planning, taxation, and planning for business owners and professionals, among others. Candidates must successfully complete eight courses, meet experience requirements and ethics standards, and agree to comply with the American College Code of Ethics and Procedures.
“Life insurance is an important piece of the financial planning puzzle for my clients, especially the business owners I serve,” said Siegfried. “I developed an inherent desire to be a student of it. It was important to me to know insurance inside and out, understand how it can be a tool to help clients reach their overall financial goals, and incorporate the right type and level of insurance into clients’ overall financial plans. The CLU® designation allows me to achieve that for clients.”
Brett’s knowledge of, and experience with, life insurance is also recognized by the industry itself, which calls on him as an expert. Earlier this year, Brett worked with a major insurance carrier to help develop a new program for young, high-income earners, sharing his client experience and what clients find most valuable about insurance. The program is expected to launch in late 2018.
The CLU® is the latest of the awards and certifications Brett has recently received. In June, 2018 he was named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 30 Under 30 list of the area’s top young professionals. He also holds his Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) Designation.
