Advisor Spotlight: Charles P. Schulz AIF® – 2018 Volume One

Charles P. Schulz, AIF®

Dedication, Abundance and Leadership are core values that advisors at Krilogy live by, which is made apparent by the commitment and support the team give each other. These values are exceptionally clear in Financial Advisor, Charles Schulz.

I first met Charles at Mizzou while speaking with soon-to-be-graduates about career opportunities. He was responsible for making sure fellow students were on time and knew where to go for their interviews. When my scheduled appointment did not show, I took the opportunity to catch up on some work. Knowing I had time, Charles took the initiative to approach me despite having no resume in hand and not having dressed for interviews. He shared with me that he had recently switched majors out of the necessity to help his family get financially organized following the loss of his Mother to cancer. Through that experience, he recognized the importance of properly managing financial resources and the need for developing a financial plan. His authenticity and compassion shined through during this impromptu interview, and upon his graduation from Mizzou with a B.S. in Personal Financial Planning, he joined the Krilogy team.

Like all new advisors, Charles started his journey through the Krilogy Advisor Development System (KADS), a three-year training program designed to help new advisors learn the business and begin building their client base. He quickly became a trusted member of the team and has excelled as an invaluable asset to his clients and to Krilogy. In 2015, as we were planning to open Krilogy’s St. Charles County office, Charles approached me once again and asked to be a part of it. Just as I knew he was the right fit for Krilogy, I knew he was someone I could lean on to play an instrumental role in our expansion.

His growth and leadership are clearly demonstrated through the strong relationships he continues to develop with clients and teammates. Krilogy benefits greatly from Charles’ dedication to his practice, positive impact on our culture and mentorship of younger advisors. Life presents us with many unique and complex challenges; Charles prides himself on providing solutions in a very simple, straightforward way to help clients and teammates make informed decisions.

Charles continues to grow as a practitioner. He recently earned his Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies and is currently pursuing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification, which is often recognized as a standard of excellence for competent and ethical personal financial planning.

Charles’s dedication to service extends outside of Krilogy, where he serves on the junior board for Rainbow Village, an organization that provides and maintains homes for adults with developmental disabilities, in addition to serving as a cabinet member with Youth In Need®, an organization that provides foster care case management, counseling, support groups and shelter to more than 20,000 homeless and at-risk children, teens and families across eastern Missouri.
